Iran to hold first Science and Taekwondo Conference

August 13 – The head of World Arms Taekwondo Games Headquarters Public Relations Committee says Iran will hold the first Science and Taekwondo Conference during CISM games.

CISM headquarters public relations committee quoted Col. Davoud Abdi saying that the Conference would address sports management, physiology and exercise science, sports psychology and sports medicine.
Abdi added that Ministry of Defence, CISM Headquarters Research Committee, and Physical Education Research Centre of the Basij Organization would jointly hold the conference. "Armed Forces Physical Education Organization, IRI National Taekwondo Federation, Applied and Scientific Taekwondo Centre, and Kowsar Credit and Finance Institute will also participate in holding the conference," he asserted.

Col. Abdi said that the National Football Academy Conference Hall in Azadi Sports Complex would be venue for the conference held on Saturday August 6, 8:30-16 Tehran local time. "The president of the Taekwondo Federation, General Director of Taekwondo National teams, Deputy-minister of Education, Basij Organization sports deputy, and a number of academicians will deliver their speech in the conference," he added.
