Abolfazl Yaqobi won the gold medal

Abolfaz Yaqobi from Iran defeated his competitor in -58 kg and won a gold medal and China won the heavyweight championships.

According to the public relations of the CISM competitions headquarters, 22nd contests of CISM hosted by the Ministry of Defense and Logistics of I.R. of Iran in associations with Iran's Taekwando Federation since Sunday in men's field.

There are 100 athletes from 18 countries participating in these contests in class G1 which its score will be considered in Olympic ranking for the contestants.

Following the contests in -58 kg and +87 kg, the contestants started their fights and in the final for -58 kg, Abolfazl Yaqobi from Iran met Ji Hoa from China and defeated him 4 to 2. Prior to this, Yaqobi defeated Tunisia 15 to 1, Vietnam 14 to 1 and Russia 13 to 1. in +87 kg and in the final, Roi from China and Tin Ardiaz from Russia met and at the end Chinese representative defeated Russian contestant 7 to 5 and won the gold medal. In this weight Russia got silver and Brazil and Armenia jointly got bronze.

It should be added that today morning and in Poomsae field of CISM Ali Salmani and Akbar Frozan got gold medals.
